When is a game not a game?

When it's a lawsuit. Second life players are suing another player who stole their designs for in-game products and sold them himself. I'm starting to think we'll see a major crackdown on any game based economies very soon and as an after through, do you thing the plaintiffs in this case were declaring their earnings from the game? I'd say most likely not. :P

ATEI

Well just booked my flight for ATEI in London next year. Leaving at 5am in the morning and returning that same night at 19:45. Gonna be a hectic trip but should be fun.

Anyone else going?

Sooo....

Today after much deliberation I went out and bought an IPod radio tuner kit for the car. Basically it transmits the signal from your IPod to your car stereo and you can set it to any frequency you like.

I went through a load of review sites looking for the best value for money to performance ratio, I scoured the shops for the correct model and colour and half an hour ago I parted with £39.99 of my hard earned cash and received the aforementioned item.

I got into my car (I got this heap of junk about 8 weeks ago, it's old, it's clunky and it's a 4x4 so I love it ^^) I opened the box, plugged the tuner into the ipod and then into the cigarette lighter socket and attempted to tune in the radio. Nothing but static...

I checked the instructions, everything was correct but then I noticed the LCD on the tuner wasn't registering, I checked the connection on the IPod, it was solid. I jiggled the connection in the lighter socket... it fell out :P not the connection mind you, the whole bloody socket!! :(

Upon closer inspection all that had been holding it into the dashboard was one frayed piece of wire and lots of sticky tape beneath the panel. Going to get a new one tomorrow with a bit of luck and the last few things I need for my Trip to Holland on Wednesday.

Yup my one week of summer vacation spent working for the missus, and believe it or not.. . I'm really looking forward to it ;)

Nights

It's not too often I get excited about upcoming games but this one has got me bouncing in my chair while watching the trailer. 'Nights Journey Into Dreams' is due for release September / October on the Wii and it looks amazing.

Bonus points for those of you that remember the original on the Sega Saturn back in 1996. :D

Muahaha!

Today's deal of the day, just bought in a second hand Apple Video Ipod 80 gig for 35 euro. The down side to this is that I only have about 20 gigs of mp3s to my name... better get busy :)

Fed up

I feel like I'm running around in circles and getting no further ahead in life. Every time I get something done and feel good about it something else happens and I end up with more issues and work to deal with.

Anyone else ever notice that the things that should be so bloody simple always end up getting complicated beyond belief?

Werewolves, Guns and free FPS's oh my!

I started up one of my Softnyx games for the first time in ages tonight and was greeted with a beta signup for 'WolfTeam' a new First person shooter involving weapons and werewolves, sounds neat huh? The Beta begins in June and you can sign up from the main web page now.

As with all Softnyx games, it will be free to download and play when released with donators getting extra perks, faster exp, unique weapons etc etc. The game looks amazing and i've stuck all the details from the website translated under the cut.

Warning Lots of PicturesCollapse )

Well our house is finally nearing completion, the main room has been plastered, sanded, painted and floored. The new kitchen has been bought and is sitting in the house awaiting installation sometime next week. The table and chairs have arrived, the sofa's are due next week and all the appliances are also enroute.

All that's left to do now is to wait for the plaster in the bedroom to dry, add a lick of paint, a few shelves in the corner and then ring to get the internet installed and it's ready to live in. Oh... and it's missing a wuff at the moment too but hopefully that will be rectified soon. ^^

All in all it's been busy, Tuesday I was hit with a 24hr flu which totally floored me, been a while since I hallucinated so badly that I was swatting at goblins. :P The last two weeks all day has been spent in the shop working with orders and customers and the evenings have been spent working in the house. We now have Q-con the Belfast gaming convention looming on the horizon so that's a whole lot more work dumped onto my plate to get sorted and I need to find help for it too.

Ahh well, going to grab a quick sandwich for lunch then back to work. :)
